Behind-the-scenes: Céleste Boursier-Mougenot ‘from here to ear, (v. 13)’ 2010

Céleste Boursier-Mougenot is currently at the Gallery of Modern Art working with staff on the installation of From here to ear (v. 13) 2010, a major commission for the ‘21st Century: Art in the First Decade’ exhibition. The work includes a series of octagonal structures, each made in maple and plywood, harpsichord strings, piano pins, contact microphones and broadcast system, coat hangers, metal recipients, seeds, water, nests, ground in MDF, sand, grass and native finches.
